Buckeye TV
Buckeye
TV is Ohio State's
first and only student operated and programmed
television station. The station has strived
since its founding in autumn
2001 to be the source for Ohio State
University students to see news, sports, entertainment,
music, and variety programming that affects
their world and interests today's
OSU student. The programming produced by Buckeye
TV reflects the diverse and varied parts of
The Ohio State University, its staff and its
students. As a cable television channel run
by students, Buckeye TV has strived to produce
the highest quality, locally oriented programming
possible.
Buckeye TV
produces a variety of programming throughout
the week. The vast majority of the station's
broadcast schedule consists of original, student-produced
programming. Buckeye TV strives to distinguish
itself from the national networks by producing
locally oriented content that the OSU and Columbus
community can connect with. Buckeye TV serves
the 18-24 demographic with its varied programming
schedule and is currently viewed in the OSU
dorms, reaching a target audience of over 12,000
dorm residents. The station is also available
throughout many on campus offices as well as
the OSU Medical Center and all of its patient
rooms.
